Misdemeanor Criminal and Traffic Defense in Northeast Illinois

I was previously an Assistant State’s Attorney with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office, where I prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases while rising through the ranks of the Misdemeanor, Felony Review, and Felony Divisions. As a criminal prosecutor I learned how to build cases from the bottom-up, reviewing and presenting evidence, and working closely with numerous victims, police officers/detectives, and expert and eye witnesses. I appeared daily in felony, misdemeanor, domestic violence, and initial appearance courtrooms, and argued numerous motion hearings and trials before judges and/or juries. I learned about the unique interests local prosecutors must balance to resolve cases.

Through this experience I gained expertise in identifying vulnerabilities in the State’s case. I also cultivated the courtroom skills needed to understand exactly how to hold the State accountable to meeting its burden of proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

I am a zealous, highly-skilled advocate with a passion for achieving fair outcomes and protecting the Constitutional rights of people accused of crimes in northeast Illinois.
